SeaOpen LLC
Privacy Policy
Your privacy is our priority. We are committed to protecting your personal data and being transparent about how we use it.
Last updated: October 30, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how SeaOpen LLC ("SeaOpen", "we", or "us") collects, uses, and discloses information about you when you use our websites, the Captain AI service, and our other digital products (together, the "Services").
SeaOpen LLC is a company registered in the United States and operates globally with strict adherence to data protection standards.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you:
- Create an account or purchase a service.
- Ask for Captain on our Get started page, fill out a contact form or request a demo.
- Communicate with our customer support or with Captain.
- Connect your business accounts (for example your website, Google, Meta or WhatsApp) so Captain can work for you.
Types of data: your name, email address, phone number, company name and website, billing details, the business information and files you give Captain, and the messages Captain handles for you (for example customer inquiries). When you ask for Captain, we also keep the page and the campaign you came from (for example an ad), so we know which of our ads work.
Automatically collected data: device information, IP address and pages visited, used to run and secure the Services. We look up the country of your IP address on our own servers (with DB-IP's database; your address is not sent to them) to show the site in the right language and the right privacy choices. Cookies are described in our Cookie Policy.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Services, including running Captain's tasks for your business.
- Contact you about Captain after you ask for it, on WhatsApp, by phone or by email.
- Process transactions and send related information, including confirmations and invoices.
- Send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support messages.
- Respond to your comments, questions, and requests.
- Measure credit usage so you can see what each task cost.
- Measure our own advertising, as described in section 5.
We do not use the data of your connected accounts or your customers to train AI models.
4. Service Providers
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers that process it on our behalf to run the Services:
- Google Cloud Platform: hosting and infrastructure.
- Supabase: database and sign-in.
- Anthropic: the AI models behind Captain. Content sent for processing is not used to train their models.
- Payment providers (a reseller acting as merchant of record, Payoneer and banks): payments, invoices and sales tax.
- Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform), Google and other platforms you choose to connect: to act on your behalf on those platforms.
- Meta Platforms (Meta Pixel and Conversions API): to measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram, as described in section 5 and in the Cookie Policy.
- Email delivery providers and Telegram: to send you notices and reports, and to tell our team about your request.
Security: we use encryption, access controls and separate, encrypted storage for the access keys of your connected accounts.
5. Measuring Our Ads
When we advertise on Facebook and Instagram, our site uses the Meta Pixel, and our server sends Meta the same events through the Conversions API, so we can see which ads bring people who ask for Captain. The events are: pages viewed, the pricing page viewed, a tap on WhatsApp, phone or email, and a request sent from the Get started page.
With a request, Meta receives your email address, phone number, name and country only in hashed form (a one-way code it can match to a Meta account but not read), together with your IP address and browser details. Meta never receives your messages or anything you tell Captain.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland this measurement runs only after you agree. Everywhere else it runs unless you say no. You can change your choice at any time with Privacy choices at the bottom of every page, and you can also control ads on Meta in your Meta account settings.
6. Google API Services
SeaOpen's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
When you connect a Google account (for example Search Console, Analytics, Business Profile or Ads), we use that data only to provide the features you asked for in your account. We do not sell it, do not use it for advertising, do not use it to train AI models, and do not let people read it, except with your consent, for security purposes, to comply with the law, or as part of our internal operations as permitted by that policy.
7. Data Retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is open. Requests from the Get started page are kept for up to 24 months, or until you ask us to delete them. Messages and task records are kept so you can see what Captain did, and are deleted when you delete your account or ask us to delete them. Invoices and payment records are kept for as long as tax law requires. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.
8. Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA and Israeli Privacy Law)
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. You may also opt out of promotional messages at any time using the unsubscribe link in those messages, and opt out of the sharing of data for advertising (including under the California Consumer Privacy Act) with Privacy choices at the bottom of every page.
To use any of these rights, or to delete your account and data, follow the steps on our Data Deletion page or write to us. We respond within 30 days.
9. Children
The Services are meant for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.
10. International Transfers
We operate globally, so your data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States and Israel. We use providers that protect data under recognized safeguards.
11. Changes
We will post any change to this policy on this page with a new date, and notify active customers by email of material changes.
